On a scorching and sunny June afternoon, Neil and myself visited Age Concern to present Jean Silva and Di Skingle and a few of their members, with the donation we pledged of the profit of our last show Separate Tables in May. We were able to present them with a cheque for £300 and also a collection tin which was held at our Front of House desk which resulted in a further £50. The team at Age Concern were delighted with the proceeds and most grateful.

Membership Theatre West Four
At a General Meeting last year it was agreed that as the Group seemed to have now evolved into a Production Company, our Membership Structure should be changed to reflect this altered situation.
Our membership will still run annually from October to October but we will no longer have an Associate Membership scheme and Associate members will now be classified as Full Members.
Annual General Membership fee has been reduced to £10 per person which includes all benefits like attending meetings, voting rights at Meetings, standing for Committee positions, receive copies of our in-house Magazine ‘Scene’, rights to auditions for all productions, etc.
However, we will now introduce a one off Annual Production fee of £30 (£15 concessions), running for the same annual period October to October) should you be cast in a production or productions during a current membership year.
We feel that this will more appropriately reflect the current situation of the Group and our Constitution will be amended to incorporate this change.
At the play reading last Thursday 12th January the Group decided to select Terence Rattigan’s ‘Separate Tables’ as our next production to be staged at the Questors Studio Theatre on May 9 – 13, 2017. Tony Traxler will be directing.

THE MAGIC OF GERSHWIN
Is there anyone among us who hasn’t sung, hummed or just listened to a Gershwin song? I doubt it!
The Gershwin brothers, George and Ira, kept toes tapping and theatres full throughout the 20’s and 30’s, with tunes like ‘Swanee’, ‘I Got Rhythm’, ‘Someone to Watch Over Me’ to name but a few. Their work has been recorded by all the greats, from Jolson and Garland to Sinatra and Streisand.
It was only the early death of George at 38 that ended the partnership, and this show is a tribute to their talent.
So come along, listen to their story, as we reveal through Song and Dance, the
